"St. Paul Officer Shoots Man During Response to Reported Sexual Assault"

A St. Paul police officer shot and wounded a man who was allegedly assaulting a woman in an apartment. The incident occurred after officers responded to a 911 call reporting a sexual assault in progress. The suspect, who was armed with a handgun, charged at the officers and was shot in the arm but is expected to survive. The woman was safely removed from the apartment and was not injured in the shooting.
