Ex-Michigan Speaker's Associates Deny Embezzlement and Misuse of Political Funds

Former top Michigan legislative staffers, Rob and Anné Minard, were arraigned on multiple felony charges for allegedly embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from political accounts. Both pleaded not guilty and were released on bond. They were closely associated with former House Speaker Lee Chatfield and are accused of misusing funds through their consulting firm and a nonprofit account. The case against Chatfield is still ongoing, and the Minards are due back in court for a probable cause hearing.
