Hollywood Standoff: Wanted Suspect Arrested After SWAT Engagement

A 27-year-old man, Andrew Robert Mettal, has been arrested by Charleston County deputies after an hours-long standoff at a home in Hollywood, South Carolina. He is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping. The standoff ended with the man in custody, and it was confirmed that he was the only person inside the home. Deputies had launched pepper spray into the home in an effort to coax him out, and there was no immediate threat to the public in the area. The U.S. Marshals Task Force assisted the sheriff’s office during the standoff.
