"San Francisco Mourns Family Killed in West Portal Bus Stop Crash"

The driver involved in the fatal San Francisco bus stop crash that killed three family members and gravely injured an infant has been released from custody. Mary Fong Lau, 78, was driving a white Mercedes SUV at an excessive speed in the wrong direction on a divided highway when the crash occurred. Three family members waiting at the bus stop were killed, and an infant remains hospitalized without parents or a sibling. Lau, who was also hospitalized for injuries, is no longer in police custody, and the decision on whether to charge her rests with the San Francisco District Attorney.
