Ex-assistant principal indicted for child neglect after 6-year-old shoots teacher

Ebony Parker, the former assistant principal of the Virginia school where a 6-year-old shot his teacher, has been charged with eight counts of felony child neglect and reckless disregard for human life. The indictments come 15 months after the incident, with the teacher filing a $40 million lawsuit accusing Parker of ignoring warnings about the child having a firearm in school. The boy's mother, Deja Nicole Taylor, was also charged with felony child neglect and sentenced to prison.
