During a sentencing hearing in a Las Vegas courtroom, Deobra Redden, convicted of attempted assault, attacked Judge Mary Kay Holthus after she denied him probation and was about to sentence him to prison. The attack was caught on video, showing Redden leaping over the bench towards the judge. Court officers subdued Redden, who now faces additional charges, including battery and intimidation of a public officer.
