Saugus Middle School Teacher Arrested for Fentanyl Possession on School Grounds

Saugus teacher Roxanne Plakson, 52, was arraigned on charges of possessing fentanyl at the school where she teaches seventh grade. Police found a white powdery substance in a staff bathroom and a classroom, and a pill bottle in her bag, with video surveillance allegedly showing her leaving the bathroom. Plakson claimed she takes fentanyl for pain but declined to disclose its source. The school district assured that students' safety was not compromised, and Plakson is undergoing substance abuse treatment.
