Thanksgiving Feasts: Community Volunteers Serve Hundreds in Saco, Wichita, and Freeport

Volunteers from the local Knights of Columbus in Saco organized a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, serving a meal to about 900 people, including the unhoused. The event, which has grown over the past 24 years, saw hundreds of volunteers of all ages come together to provide meals for those in need. In addition to serving meals at the Most Holy Trinity Church, the volunteers also delivered food to asylum seekers and unhoused individuals living in a homeless encampment in Biddeford. The organizers expressed their commitment to adapting and helping their community, no matter the circumstances.
