Minneapolis leaders blamed for failed Black business expo and toxic work culture.

Former Minneapolis equity director Tyeastia Green blamed city leadership for the low turnout at the Minneapolis Black business expo and alleged a "toxic" work culture in a letter addressed to the city's operations director and mayor. Green threatened to sue City Council Member LaTrisha Vetaw for defamation of character. Some small business owners who participated in the expo want an apology and their money back. The city disputed Green's claims and is exploring legal options to repay vendors who lost money. The city has not yet made a determination on hosting such an event next year.
