State Trooper shot on I-88, suspect dead.

A New York State Trooper was shot during a routine traffic stop on Interstate 88 in Duanesburg. The trooper exchanged gunfire with the suspect, identified as Nelson Troche, who fled into nearby woods, leading to an intensive manhunt. Troche was later found suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead. The trooper, identified as Trooper Richard Albert, was treated and later released. The incident was caught on the trooper's body camera, and police were in the process of obtaining a warrant to search the vehicle.
