"Tragic Virginia Plane Crash Claims Lives of Respected Pilot and Single Mother"
Jeff Hefner, a retired Southwest Airlines pilot with over 25,000 hours of flying experience, was at the helm of the Cessna Citation 560 that crashed in Virginia, killing all four people on board. Hefner was known as "Mr Safety" during his time with Southwest Airlines. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but it's believed that the plane lost pressurization, causing everyone on board to lose consciousness. The investigation could take up to a year to conclude due to the extent of the damage sustained in the crash. The owner of the plane, John Rumpel, believes that the plane lost pressurization. Adina Azarian, her 2-year-old daughter, and their nanny were also killed in the crash.
