Tragic Plane Crash Claims Two Lives in Ludington

A couple from Indiana and their two dogs died when a small plane crashed and caught fire near Mason County Airport in Ludington. The plane was taking off before banking hard to the north and crashing. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and extinguished the fire, but two individuals were pronounced dead. The identities of the victims are unknown. The investigation is being led by Michigan State Police and will later be forwarded to the Federal Aviation Administration.
