Biden to Honor Springsteen, Louis-Dreyfus, and More with Arts Medals at White House Ceremony.

President Joe Biden will award the 2021 National Humanities Medals and the National Medal of Arts to 23 recipients, including Mindy Kaling, Gladys Knight, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bruce Springsteen, and Jose Feliciano, at a White House ceremony. The National Medal of the Arts is the highest American award given to artists, art patrons, and groups that have advanced arts in the United States. The National Humanities Medal honors individuals or groups whose work has deepened the nation’s understanding of the humanities.
