Virginia Great Dane sets record with 21 puppies in 27 hours.

A 2-year-old Great Dane from Virginia gave birth to 21 puppies in just over 24 hours, with 12 females and 9 males. Sadly, three of them died after being born, but their siblings remained healthy. Namine's owner said all of the puppies weighed in at more than a pound except for two of them. The profit from Namine's first puppy sold will benefit a local animal shelter. The current Guinness World Record for largest litter is held by a Neapolitan mastiff named Tia with 24 pups born in 2004.
