Tragic Deaths of Police K-9s Left in Hot Patrol Cars

A K-9 dog named Aron from the Houston Police Department died of heat exhaustion after the engine of the air-conditioned vehicle it was left in unexpectedly shut off. The safety system in the K-9 Unit vehicle didn't work properly, and the police are investigating the tragedy to determine what went wrong and to prevent this from happening in the future. The Houston Police Department has asked the public to keep Aron’s handler and the entire K-9 team in their prayers as they mourn the loss of Aron.
