Polaris Employee Involved in Fatal Snowmachine Collision with Sled Dogs

A snowmachiner, who was testing snowmachines for manufacturer Polaris, struck a sled dog team on the Denali Highway in Alaska, killing three dogs and seriously injuring another. No charges or citations have been issued yet, and Polaris is cooperating with law enforcement and conducting an internal investigation. This is the second incident in a month where a snowmachine has fatally struck a sled dog team on the same highway. Troopers plan to increase patrols in the area to ensure public safety.
