"Coast Guard Rescues Dog Trapped for Over a Week in Texas Shipping Container"

A dog was rescued by US Coast Guard officers after being trapped inside a shipping container at the Port of Houston for over a week. The canine, nicknamed Connie the container dog, was found to be dirty and skinny but in good spirits. She was taken to an animal shelter and is now in the care of Forever Changed Animal Rescue, receiving treatment for heartworm and being prepared for adoption. The Coast Guard officials believe she may have accidentally ended up in the container while in a junkyard.
