Florida Man Arrested for Cruelty: Tossing Dog in Dumpster After Owners' Death

A Florida man, Anthony Bellman, has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty after a video showed him throwing a bagged 16-year-old Shih Tzu into a dumpster in Lee County. The dog, named Xyla, was found by employees of a Family Dollar store and taken to a pet hospital for evaluation. Investigators used surveillance footage to identify Bellman, who was found wearing the same clothing as the suspect in the video. Xyla is currently recovering at Lee County Domestic Animal Services, and authorities will work to find her a loving home.
