Fatal Collision: IMPD Officer Hits and Kills Cyclist on Indianapolis' East Side

A cyclist died after being hit by an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officer who was responding to a domestic violence call. The officer attempted to avoid a collision with a vehicle that failed to yield, but was unsuccessful. The cyclist was taken to a trauma center in critical condition but later pronounced dead. The officer was uninjured and is undergoing an administrative investigation.
