Fatal Illinois Truck Crash and Ammonia Leak Claims 5 Lives

Five people were killed and five others injured in a semi-truck crash near Teutopolis, Illinois, which caused an ammonia leak and prompted the evacuation of hundreds of residents. The crash occurred when the tanker truck driver attempted to avoid another vehicle, causing the tanker to roll over and compromise the tank. Approximately 4,000 gallons of ammonia were released.
