Wrong-way crashes on US highways result in fatalities and injuries.

A head-on collision on U.S. 131 in Michigan has left one person dead and another in critical condition. The accident occurred when a 30-year-old Grand Rapids man was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of U.S. 131 and collided with a northbound vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, a 63-year-old Byron Center man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Michigan State Police are investigating the crash and believe alcohol may have been a factor.
