Investigation Continues into Deadly Pennsylvania Chocolate Factory Explosion

The investigation into the cause and origin of the deadly candy factory explosion in West Reading, Berks County, is underway. The state police fire marshal unit is looking into the matter, and the West Reading police will determine what information to release to the public. The death toll stands at seven, and three buildings around the destroyed factory have been condemned. Some roads in the area will remain closed indefinitely. There were complaints about a gas smell at the factory, and plant employees had complained about smelling gas throughout the day Friday. A candlelight vigil is scheduled for Friday.
