Fatalities reported in multiple incidents along I-84 involving MAX train and car crashes

Two people have died after a crash involving a MAX train on the I-84 freeway in Portland, Oregon. The victims were reportedly speeding in their vehicle before crashing and then attempting to retrieve a car part from a restricted area. The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is investigating the incident, and the westbound lanes of I-84 were temporarily closed during the investigation. MAX train services were also affected.
