Fatal multi-car crash on Hwy 101 in Sunnyvale leaves 3 dead and 5 injured.

Three people were killed and five others were injured in a series of chain-reaction crashes on northbound 101 in Sunnyvale, California. The crashes were caused by a single-vehicle accident involving a pickup truck that lost control. Drivers and passengers got out of their cars and were then hit, with two victims sent over the median into southbound lanes and hit by a car. The California Highway Patrol is treating all three victims killed as pedestrians and has identified them as adult men.
