Fatal Medical Helicopter Crashes in Shelby County, Alabama.

Two crew members of a medical helicopter, Lifesaver 4, died after it crashed upon landing in Shelby County, Alabama while responding to a call about a hiker experiencing a medical emergency. The third crew member remains hospitalized in critical condition. There was no patient on board when the crash occurred. The National Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation, with assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration. The cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
