Fatal Fire at Northwest Side Apartment Sends 8 to Hospital.

At least one person has died and eight people, including five children, were taken to the hospital after an apartment fire on the northwest side of Indianapolis. The fire broke out early Monday morning, and 30 people were rescued altogether. The cause of the fire is unknown, and 44 units are affected. Some residents had to jump off balconies to escape the blaze.
