Fatal Explosion at Seneca Petroleum Company Refinery in Lemont.

One person died and another was injured in an explosion at the Seneca Petroleum Co. refinery in Lemont, Illinois. The explosion occurred in an asphalt tank and caused power lines to fall. Fire departments responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The Illinois Occupational Safety and Health Administration and ComEd staff members were called to the scene.
