Fatal Crashes in Lancaster County: Victims Identified

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office has identified a 39-year-old Beatrice man as the driver killed in a crash south of Lincoln. The crash occurred when an SUV clipped the back of a semitrailer, causing the driver to lose control and crash into a pickup truck driven by a 53-year-old man from Crete, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver and a passenger in the pickup truck were hospitalized, with the SUV driver in critical but stable condition. Speed was determined to be a factor in the crash.
