Fatal Crashes Claim Lives of Two Men on Detroit Highways

A man was fatally struck by a car on the Southfield Freeway after a vehicle crash. The boyfriend of one of the drivers parked his car in the right lane and was walking to the crash scene when he was hit by a red pickup truck, which also struck the Jeep involved in the initial crash. The boyfriend died at the scene, while the female driver of the Jeep was impaired. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene but was later apprehended by the police. Authorities are urging witnesses to come forward and reminding drivers not to drive impaired and to stay in their vehicles after a crash.
