Fatal Crash Involving APD Officer Claims One Life in Northwest and North Austin

One person has died and another has been hospitalized with minor injuries after a rollover crash involving an Austin Police Department (APD) officer in northwest Austin. The crash occurred on the northbound service road of US 183, resulting in serious injuries to the civilian driver who was pronounced dead at the scene. The APD officer also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital. The APD Vehicular Homicide Unit and Internal Affairs unit will investigate the incident.
