A 28-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with a car attempting to turn into a strip mall in Round Lake Beach. The motorcyclist, a Round Lake Beach resident, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The crash is under investigation, and there is no indication of excessive speed, drugs, or alcohol playing a role. Route 83 was temporarily closed for investigation purposes.
