Fatal Accident: Vehicle Plunges from Grandview Medical Center Parking Deck

A woman was killed when her vehicle fell from the fourth level of the staff parking deck at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. The cause of the accident is unknown, and authorities are investigating. This is the first incident of its kind at Grandview, but not uncommon in general. Firefighters attempted to extricate the victim but found her already deceased. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office is on the scene.
