Truck Driver Rescued from Dangling Semi-Truck After Bridge Crash

A semi-truck driver in Louisville, Kentucky, was left dangling over the side of a bridge after a vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the tractor-trailer, causing it to hang precariously off the edge. Louisville firefighters set up a rope system to rescue the driver, with firefighter Bryce Carden rappelling down to the cab and lifting her to safety. The driver was unharmed, while two others involved in the crash sustained possibly life-threatening injuries. The bridge will need repairs, but its structural integrity was not compromised.
