Tragic Outcome: Iowa Teen Killed in Anamosa Sledding Accident

A 13-year-old Iowa boy, Adam McWherter, has died from injuries sustained after being struck by an SUV while sledding. The incident occurred on January 10, and despite being transported to the hospital in critical condition, McWherter passed away 10 days later. The driver of the SUV, David Thomas, stated that he saw movement coming from the driveway as he approached and hit his brakes but couldn’t stop in time to avoid hitting the boy. The Iowa State Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
