Hayek Joins Mexico’s President to Unveil 30% Cinema Incentive

Salma Hayek Pinault joined President Claudia Sheinbaum in Mexico City to announce a new 30% income tax incentive for film projects carried out in Mexico, backed by a 40 million pesos per-project cap, and requiring at least 70% domestic suppliers. The incentive, part of a broader plan covering training, production, exhibition and preservation, is available to Mexican entities and foreign producers via Mexican intermediaries and aims to attract high-value international productions while strengthening Mexico’s domestic film industry.
