Climate Protesters Splatter Mona Lisa with Soup at Louvre

Protesters from the environmental group Riposte Alimentaire hurled soup at the Mona Lisa painting in the Louvre museum in Paris, but the artwork was protected by its glass casing. The museum has since reopened the room housing the painting and is lodging a complaint. This is not the first time the famous artwork has been targeted, as it has previously suffered from theft, vandalism, and protective measures have been increased to safeguard it.
