The Wire actor Bobby J Brown dies in Maryland barn fire while jumpstarting a car

Bobby J. Brown, a 62-year-old actor best known for The Wire, died in a Maryland barn fire at his home on Feb. 24 while trying to jumpstart a car. His wife attempted to reach him and was injured, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The state medical examiner ruled the death an accident from diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation. Brown’s daughter Reina posted a tribute urging families to spend time with loved ones. The incident follows the deaths of other Wire cast members, including James Ransone, Isiah Whitlock Jr., and earlier stars such as Michael K. Williams, Lance Reddick, and Reg E. Cathey.
