'Fatal Attraction' Remake Fails to Impress with Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan

The new eight-episode re-conception of Fatal Attraction on Paramount+ fails to find a balance between voyeuristic thrills and psychological nuance, and lacks any important connection to the zeitgeist. Despite exceptional performances from Lizzy Caplan and Toby Huss, the series offers no improvement over the original and has two unsatisfying endings. The show tries to have it both ways with its depiction of the characters, but ultimately fails to deliver a worthwhile viewing experience.
