Radio Host JV Vandergrift's Body Found in SF, Wife Pays Tribute

The body found floating in the Bay near Pier 39 has been identified as Jeffrey "JV" Vandergrift, the missing host of Wild 94.9FM radio. The cause of death has not been determined, but there is no evidence of foul play. JV had spoken candidly about his struggles with Lyme Disease, and his co-host had implied evidence of a likely suicide or suicide note. JV had been a fixture on Bay Area radio since the 1990s and hosted "The JV Show" since 2009.
