Hollywood Writers Strike as Studios Offer $1 Million AI Jobs

Positions include engineering managers, AI technical directors, and research scientists focused on AI ethics. The Writers Guild of America, representing Hollywood writers, has been on strike for over three months, demanding higher pay and opposing AI taking their jobs. The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers proposed a new compensation package, but the offer was rejected by the WGA.
