Transphobia in Wrestling: Allegations and Support from Industry Veterans.

Pro wrestler Chris Jericho defended transgender female wrestler Gisele Shaw after she accused Rick Steiner of making "hateful" comments to her at WrestleCon. Jericho, who has been in the wrestling industry since the early 1990s, called Steiner a bully and offered to discuss the issue with him. Shaw, who performs for Impact Wrestling, came out as transgender in 2022 and said she has been bullied all her life. Steiner, who was reportedly removed from WrestleCon events on Saturday, has not responded to the allegations.
