Pro wrestling icon Iron Sheik passes away at 81.

The Iron Sheik, a former WWF World Heavyweight champion and WWE Hall of Famer, has died at the age of 81. He gained global fame in professional wrestling with his 1980s rivalries against the likes of Hulk Hogan, Bob Backlund, and Sgt. Slaughter. Before starting in professional wrestling, he was a bodyguard for the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and was a standout Greco-Roman wrestler in his home country. He is survived by his wife, children, and son-in-law.
