Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, visited the Queen's Dragoon Guards at Robertson Barracks in Norfolk, donning combat gear to observe military drills and even driving an armoured vehicle. She met with troops, learned about their operations, and delivered medals to long-serving officers. This visit marked her first since being appointed Colonel-in-Chief of the regiment in August. Kate also had the opportunity to promote a pony to Corporal and took part in a medal presentation ceremony.
