The Secrets of Hillsong, a four-part docuseries premiering May 19 on FX, exposes the culture of abuse, discrimination, and corruption within the global network of charismatic Christian megachurches. The docuseries contains the first interviews with Carl Lentz, the disgraced hipster pastor of Hillsong NYC, since his firing for "moral failures" in November 2020. Lentz and his family, including his wife, Laura, and their three young children, vanished from the public eye after the scandal. The docuseries also features interviews with ex-congregants who accuse the church of discrimination, graft, and sexual abuse.
