Kanye West Lists Tadao Ando-Designed Malibu Home for $53 Million

Kanye West's oceanfront Malibu house, purchased for $57 million in cash, is now on the market for $53 million. The property, designed by architect Tadao Ando, has been completely gutted and will require several million dollars in renovations to make it livable. West stands to lose millions of dollars on the property, and it's unclear if he ever spent a night there. The unique pedigree of the house, being one of the few stateside residences designed by Ando, may influence its eventual sale price. West, who remains successful in the music industry, seems to be shifting away from real estate ownership.
