Oscar De La Hoya's Struggle with Unworthiness and Fatherhood

Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya opened up about his struggles with feelings of unworthiness that led him to distance himself from his daughter Atiana when she was young. De La Hoya attributed his insecurities to a lack of love from his own parents during his childhood. Although he did spend some time raising Atiana, he eventually convinced himself that he was not fit for the role of a father. However, in recent years, De La Hoya has worked on improving his relationships with his children and acknowledges his worthiness as a father figure. He expressed gratitude towards his daughter's stepfather, Travis Barker, for stepping up in his absence.
