'Route 66' Star George Maharis Passes Away at 94

George Maharis, the American actor who played Buz Murdock in the hit television series "Route 66" in the 1960s, has died at the age of 94. Maharis, who was raised in Hell's Kitchen, New York, was a stage-trained actor who became an icon to American youth as he cruised the country in a Corvette convertible with co-star Martin Milner. "Route 66" was the rare series at the time that was filmed on location, moving to new towns and cities for each new episode.
