Heather Armstrong, the pioneering mommy blogger known as Dooce, has died by suicide at the age of 47. She was one of the first and most popular mommy bloggers, writing frankly about her struggles as a mother, relationships, and battles with depression and alcoholism. Armstrong had been sober for over 18 months but had recently had a relapse. She leaves behind two daughters and her boyfriend, Pete Ashdown.
