Mourners Pay Tribute to Shane MacGowan with Street Serenades

Mourners in Dublin paid tribute to The Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan by singing his songs on the streets during his funeral procession. Fans of all ages gathered outside the church where the ceremony was held, joining together in an impromptu jam session led by musicians equipped with banjos, harmonicas, and tin whistles. The crowd celebrated MacGowan's folk tradition and iconic songs, such as "Dirty Old Town" and "Fairytale of New York." Inside the church, Nick Cave, Glen Hansard, and Spider Stacy performed emotional renditions of MacGowan's songs. Tributes have poured in from various artists since his passing on November 30th.
