Little River Band's hit song "Reminiscing" was inspired by Graeham Goble's love of musicals from the '30s, '40s, and '50s. The song features a C9 chord that Goble learned from lead guitarist David Briggs. The band made two unsuccessful attempts at recording the song before bringing in keyboard player Peter Jones for a third try, which resulted in the hit version. The song was a favorite of John Lennon and was praised by Frank Sinatra as the best song of the '70s.
